CARE INSTRUCTIONS
For spills or stains, clean immediately by absorbing the spot with a dry, clean cloth, making sure all the dampness is removed. Gentle, organic soap and water can also be used to extract difficult stains. Vacuum regularly. Single, loose threads may be trimmed carefully with sharp scissors.
SHIPPING
All rugs ship from our mill in Rhode Island via Fedex Freight or UPS. This is front door delivery. For white glove delivery, we recommend you ship to a receiver who can then provide this type of service.
All baskets, ottomans and samples ship directly from our Boston studio via Fedex or USPS.
iNTERIOR DESIGN
We work on projects of all sizes and are here to assist you in home renovations, planning, sourcing and decorating. Our client base is primarily in New England, though we will travel!

PRODUCT
ORDER PLACEMENT
All customer orders on our existing products can be placed through our site. All trade and wholesale orders are placed directly with our studio.
PAYMENTS
We accept all major credit cards. Trade and Wholesale customers ordering directly with our studio can pay via credit card or check. Orders placed on our site are charged at the time of order placement and include shipping costs.
All trade and wholesale orders placed with our studio require payment in full at the time of order placement. Shipping estimates can be included at the time of order placement and included in this charge or charged at the time of shipment.
LEAD TIME
All orders are made to order in Rhode Island. Lead times can vary depending on order size, current order volume and material inventory.
Our estimated lead time on baskets is 2-4 weeks, on rugs and ottomans 4-6 weeks.
If you need your order delivered by a specific date, please note this.
CANCELLATIONS
If you must cancel an order, you must do so within 48 hours of payment. If cancellation occurs after this time period, we can not guarantee that your order has not already gone into production.
RETURNs
All Thayer Design Studio products are made to order. We therefore, do not accept returns. Quality is of the utmost importance to us. Should you notice that your item is defective or damaged, please notify us upon receipt and we will assist you immediately.
SHIPPING
We ship via Fede Ex or UPS. All baskets ship from our studio in Boston, MA. All rugs ship from our factory in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Shipping cost is calculated according to size and weight and is charged at the time of order placement. Items that can be packaged together, will be. Baskets and Ottomans are boxed. Rugs are rolled and packaged in a protective poly bag.
CARE & CLEANING
Our rugs are meant for everyday living. Each piece is reversible and can be maintained to last for years with a few simple steps.
To clean, absorb any spills or spots immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Use gentle soap and water to extract stains. Continue to absorb the stain and dampness with a cloth until removed. Timing is crucial when absorbing a stain. Get to it immediately, before it has a chance to dry and set. Vacuum regularly. Single, loose threads may be trimmed carefully with sharp scissors.
YARNS & THREAD
Our braided textiles are crafted from high quality, natural un-dyed wool and wool-blend yarns from Canada. Performance yarns are 100% Sunbrella, solution-dyed acrylic. Rugs and Ottomans are sewn with a strong, clear, poly thread. Baskets are sewn with white or black cotton thread.
COLOR
Due to the natural and dyed nature of our wools, very slight color variations may occur.
We do our best to provide imagery on our site that accurately represents color, however cannot guarantee that your monitor will display this color accurately.
QUALITY
Quality is of the utmost importance to use. We individually inspect each and every item before it ships to our customers.
Our braided rugs and baskets are made using traditional methods of craftsmanship. The inherent nature of the wool textures combined with the hand-crafted process in production, can create slight variations that make these unique, and truly authentic products.
